The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: SlimBiotics

As a business dealing with health on a molecular level, Slimbiotics approached The Logo Loft needing a logo that could speak to both science and exercise. This was achieved in this concept through a combination of carefully chosen font and color, as well as with a stylized bit of illustration.

First, the font. The Logo Loft design team went with a slim font to echo the name and to communicate a modern, almost tech-like feel. The light blue and orange used by The Logo Loft in both the font and the illustration suggest a vibrant, active lifestyle as well as a medical feel.

The illustration designed by The Logo Loft is a loose interpretation of the helix shape used to represent DNA. It also references the human body as arms and legs that appear to be in motion.

With this logo, The Logo Loft has managed to take two disparate concepts - science and exercise - and meld them into an effective brand.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Lentz Commercial Real Estate

Lentz, a commercial real estate company, came to The Logo Loft looking for a way to brand themselves with a professional-looking logo. As the finished product illustrates, the concept by the Logo Loft designers uses muted color and a clean, blocky font to achieve the desired result.

The Logo Loft started with three high-rise buildings to symbolize the property Lentz deals in. The buildings, shown in a variety of heights for contrast, flow directly into the name of the company. The Logo Loft design team made the last building the same height as the font to help move the eye directly to the name.

The Logo Loft chose to go with a limited color scheme of brown and gold to impart the professional, high-end feeling Lentz was going for. The result is a classic Logo Loft design - bold, polished, and designed for maximum impact.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: DemonDudes.com

Some clients come to The Logo Loft looking for a subtle symbol of their business. Others are looking for a more direct, in-your-face logo approach. With a name like “DemonDudes.com,” it’s easy to guess which direction best suited this particular client.

Demondudes.com is a “chippendales”-type establishment with a goth twist. Logo Loft designers took this unique platform and attitude to heart when coming up with logo concepts. The Logo Loft designers wanted bold colors and striking imagery to really capitalize on the company’s name - after all, you don’t surround the word “demon” with pastels and flowers.

Deep black and a rich red were chosen for the logo's color scheme, with the name in a stylized white font for contrast. The Logo Loft team created a bat-like icon to hover above the name. To further personalize the look, they fashioned the icon so that the bat wings depict two Ds in abstract fashion, with the second D in Dudes represented by a stylistic 6.

Strong. Striking. Spooky. The Logo Loft delivered a unique logo for a unique brand.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Chop Chop Salad Shop

Good, fresh food served in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. That’s what the Chop Chop Salad Shop was looking to communicate  when they came to The Logo Loft for some design work. And with the finished logo, that’s exactly what they got.

The Logo Loft chose bright, vibrant colors to evoke the fresh vegetables and colorful, tasty salads that are the restaurant’s specialty. The loose, handwritten feel of the font matches the fresh, homemade quality of the food. The Logo Loft's placement of the vegetables helps illustrate the company’s product while also leading the eye through the logo

The loose, sketch-like quality of the illustrations provided by the Logo Loft designers also serve as a perfect complement to the font.

Taken together, the balance of color, font and image really help this Logo Loft design capture the spirit and intent of the business.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Pure Water Dude

Pure Water Dude approached The Logo Loft in search of a logo that would be fun and quirky without being overly cartoonish. The Logo Loft created a simple, stylized mascot with a fluid look that naturally identifies it with the client’s business.  The Logo Loft used contrasting blues on the image and on the background to help it pop.

The font chosen by The Logo Loft works well with the image, incorporating a lot of the fluidity of the graphic itself. Taken together, the font and the illustration work well as a cohesive, effective logo design from The Logo Loft.

Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Sips Espresso

The logo created by The Logo Loft for client Sips Espresso is a very simple, clean image that matches the client’s intentions and ideas very well.

The Logo Loft has designed an icon that makes great use of fun flowing lines, shapes and curves, creating the classic coffee cup and saucer shape in a new, exciting fashion. The earth tone colors employed by The Logo Loft help enhance the fresh, natural feel. The “S” shape in the steam helps identify the company even when the icon is used separate from the text, and the suggestion of coffee in the cup with a single swirl is another subtle touch by The Logo Loft.

The font chosen by The Logo Loft is clean and simple, working well with the graphic without drawing attention away from it.

Further revisions may be made by The Logo Loft before this logo is final, including a bit more contrast in the colors. Overall, though, this is a good, strong, iconic effort by The Logo Loft, with a fun and modern feel that can be competitive in such a diverse market.

Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Extreme Audio

Extreme Audio came to The Logo Loft requesting an image with an urban, grungy edge. The Logo Loft responded with a logo that captures that edge and blends it with a youthful, modern feel.

Logo Loft designers chose a unique font and applied a rough texture to it to achieve a gritty, street-like feel. The lowercase “i” in “Audio” brings a youthful look to the name. For the graphic, the Logo Loft designers merged the idea of a musical beat and a heart beat, represented by a music note lined out like an EKG meter.

Finally, for the color palette, The Logo Loft chose a stark black, white and red scheme that catches the eye and works well for reproduction. The Logo Loft also supplied a reversed-out version of the logo with that can be used on light backgrounds.
